Note: Always duplicate your photo, close it, and work on the copy
- Over exposed or faded - go to Adjust/Color/Fade correction. If you are using a program that does not have this option, duplicate the layer and apply the "Multiply" blend mode. Then merge the layers.
- Under-exposed - correct with Fade Correction
- Leaning verticals - When you take a photo of a tall building the verticals tend to lean towards the centre of the photo. Use the Pick tool with CTRL held, spread top to straighten.
- Damaged photos- Use Scratch Remover tool, Blemish remover or Clone brush. When using the Scratch-remover, make it wide enough to grab the colors from around the scratch to fill in the scratch.
- Remove unwanted objects like wires or posts with scratch remover, bigger objects with the 0bject remover or Clone brush
- Remove color cast with Adjust/Color/fade correction
- Get rid of bad background. Make the photo into a layer, cut the old background out carefully and apply a suitable background.
- Photo taken against light - lighten foreground with PSP's Fill flash or the Plugin Shadow Illuminator. Cost: pro=$39.95, home=$24.95 from https://www.intrigueplugins.com/moreInfo.php
- Get rid of lipstick on teeth - whiten teeth with the 'Makeover' toothbrush
- Adding a missing person - cut and paste. Feather by 1 to soften edge to blend in better.
- Remove facial blemishes with Makeover/blemish remover
- Wrinkles. Rub over the wrinkles with the soften tool until you are happy - don't make it too smooth or it will look wrong.
Note: Holding down CTRL key and pressing Z will UNDO a
